A. Conservation Districts are local units of government dedicated to land and water conservation. They are established under Minnesota State Statute and governed by an elected board.

Q. When is the SWCD Tree Sale?
A. Our Tree sale starts January of each year and runs through mid April. All trees must be pre-ordered during this time. Tree pick-up is usually around the
first weekend in May. Tree stock is limited, so it's best to order early. To be placed on our tree sale mailing list, please email us your name and address
here.
Q. Who can help me with deciding what to do with my land?
A. Several staff members can help. Call 763-241-1170 x 4 for a free site visit and personal consultation.
Q. Does the SWCD offer Nitrate Testing?
A. The SWCD offers a Nitrate testing clinic in the early spring. Information about location and dates will be posted online. Sherburne County Planning and Zoning
does carry testing kits, for more information, click here.

Q. Who can I talk to about invasive species such as: Buckthorn / Garlic Mustard / Purple Loosestrife?
A. Sherburne County does not have an active weed control program. For specific questions on noxious weeds, please contact the County Agricultural Inspector
at 763-765-4454. Several of our staff can help you with basic weed identification and provide some reference information or technical assistance.

A. It depends on what your project is, and where you are located.
