White Oak, Quercus alba

The lifespan of an oak is 600 years!  Needless to say it is a long lived species that is valued for its timber products.  The acorns produced by white oak are an important food source for wildlife.  White oak makes a wonderful shade tree, perhaps not in your lifetime, but certainly your children and grandchildren!
