White pine is an upland tree with relatively few large limbs in horizontal whorls. The needles range from 2"-4" long and are slender, flexible, and occur in groups of five. Cones are slender, tapered, and thornless. The bark is not scaly as in most pines, rather it is dark with deep furrows. Height: 80'-110' Diameter: 2'-3' |
