The SWCD offers the following equipment for rental.

Weed Wrench
A weed wrench is capable of removing small trees and other unwanted, woody plants.
This device can clear the land of woody plants without troublesome stumps left behind from cutting. Simply place the jaws of the weed wrench around the stem of the plant and pull the lever for removal. Rental is free. A $50 refundable deposit is required.

Backpack Sprayer
The 4 Gallon Manual Piston Pump Backpack Sprayer is ideal for weed control, fertilizing, or watering plants. It features a mouth opening with filter for mess-free filling and cleaning, a translucent tank to easily view liquid level, a comfortable pump handle that makes pressurizing the sprayer easy.
Rental is free. A $50 refundable deposit is required.

• The John Deere BD1108 End Wheel Grain drill is used for planting seed at a controlled depth and specified amount.

(Mileage fee from Clear Lake to planting location at Federal Mileage Reimbursement Rate.)
