SWCD Services

From large farms to individual lots, the Sherburne SWCD has been providing educational, technical, and financial assistance to landowners in Sherburne County for many years.
planting
The District can work with you to restore native prairie, improve pasture or plant tree seedlings for erosion control or wildlife habitat. Our office is equipped with a tractor, Truax No-Till Drill, Vicon broadcast seeder, and access to a tree planter. We do the planting. For more information, contact Miranda Wagner at 763-280-7521.

SWCD offers planting service at a cost of
$50.00/acre ($200.00 minimum) plus $100.00 Mobilization Fee.
pasture and Livestock
Are your animals up to their ears in mud? Is your manure pile overshadowing you house? Have thistles taken over your pasture? Sherburne SWCD can help you with questions about manure, livestock, pastures, and many other issues involved with living on a farm or owning livestock. For more information, our office at 763-220-3434.
financial assistance
Multiple factors contribute to the availability of financial assistance for your project, including the type of project, its location, partners involved, and what funds might be left for the year. If you are interested in finding out more, either contact one of our staff or take a look at the Financial Assistance page.
